Panel: Managing Trust in the Sharing Economy
Track: Invisible Payment for High-Value Services in the Retail Consumer Journey
Thursday, November 29 @ 12pm — Room 1
As a collective, we’re moving towards an economy that relies heavily on sharing services online. When connecting individuals in real life through mobile apps to offer products and services, trust is a crucial backbone to the sharing economy and is becoming a requirement to safeguard its community of buyers and sellers. Not only is the sharing economy responsible for the goods and services changing hands, but also the payment data and personally identifiable information (PII) that make transactions possible.
This panel will bring to light how the most innovative companies in the space are leveraging technology to verify and authenticate user identities online to establish trust and safety. Join Trulioo, Hyperwallet, and Zify as they shed light on how they have overcome challenges to ensure they raise the bar for providing the best customer onboarding experience while implementing best-in-class identity and payment processes.

More About the Retail Consumer Journey Track
The advancement of the market economy towards new types of relationships – sharing economy or services related to connected objects – and the omnichannel nature of the retail customer journey has created a disconnect between the decisive element of the transaction – the payment– and the purchase of a product or service.
More than ever, customer onboarding at the point of service associated with a seamless authentication experience is essential for building an enduring and trusted relationship between consumers and merchants. Data collected around the payment experience is an essential asset. Between data protection obligations (GDPR) and the likely monetization by some actors, the Retail sector must master the payment process for a seamless customer experience while limiting the risk of default payment or disintermediation. Concrete use cases from the retail sector along with the latest payment technology research and first-hand experience are all part of what will be covered in this track.
The worldwide community of innovators & disruptors will be on the Innovation Stage to present ideas and products to an international audience of customers, partners, investors and media.
Trulioo’s GM, Zac Cohen, will be presenting at the Identity Innovation Stage:
Identity, Authentication & Biometrics
