DeveloperWeek 2019: Don’t Miss the Motherboard of Tech Events
Over 8,000 developers, engineers, software architects, dev teams, managers and executives from over 70 countries are expected to attend DeveloperWeek 2019 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The event, conducted annually, will explore some of the most exciting ideas and themes shaping the evolving landscape of tech.
Featuring Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) of some of the largest tech companies and prominent technologists from all corners of the globe, the event will host panel discussions, workshops, hackathons, and networking opportunities, where attendees can schmooze with one of the most interesting minds in the tech industry.
For those with a more global outlook, however, there are two events which should be particularly interesting: On February 21, Trulioo will be hosting an interactive session, followed by an executive talk later in the day – both events will dissect the challenges of scaling products for global use, but from different vantage points.
OPEN TALK: Blitzscaling Your API: Lessons Learned After Building over 400 Integrations
February 21 (Thursday), 11:00am – 11:25am, at West Hall EXPO Discovery Stage
Hosted by Conor Delahunty and Shivin Bakshi, product managers at Trulioo, this interactive session will examine the strategies essential to designing an API so that it can work in any part of the world. How can technology be designed to work anywhere – regardless of the cultural, linguistic, legal and other differences between different parts of the world? How can information flow when it is structured differently? Indeed, how can an API be standardized to work around such differences?
Shivin and Conor will speak to their personal experience of working on Trulioo’s API, which is used by over 500 companies to onboard customers from over 195 countries in the world.
Global Product, Local Challenges: What You Need to Know Before Entering New Markets (EXEC TALK)
February 21 (Thursday), 3:00pm – 3:50pm at West Hall EXEC Stage
Anatoly Kvitnitsky, Trulioo’s VP of Growth, will be talking at length about making global products work in local contexts: How do differences in regulations, politics, business environments, privacy laws, age restrictions constrain international expansion? How do they inform the go-to-market strategy for new markets?
Anatoly, who is part of the Rutgers University Big Data Advisory Board, has had a ringside view of how successful companies have scaled products for global use. His insights and observations are grounded in his work in the fintech, credit, healthcare and identity industries.
We look forward to seeing you there!
