To create a full and powerful economy, we need input from all people with diverse experiences, viewpoints and outlooks. If you want to help “mobilize a global network of female business owners, entrepreneurs and change makers who support and empower this community of women entrepreneurs and their businesses,” take part in Women’s Entrepreneurship Day™ (WED) on Wednesday, November 16.
WED is a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Vancouverites are invited to attend a casual evening of networking, inspiration, shared experiences, and new connections on Wednesday, November 16 (5:30 PM – 8:00 PM) at: THNK Vancouver (510 Beatty St. Suite 100 Vancouver, BC V6B 2L3).
All members of the local tech and business community are encouraged to join in celebrating the significant contributions that women make to drive Canada’s economy. This is the third annual WED and is generously supported by TD Insurance, and brought to you by the BC Tech Association, in partnership with Futurpreneur, The Minerva Foundation, Conquer Mobile, Vivonet, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Women's Enterprise Centre.
Trulioo is very proud to also be a partner in WED Vancouver. Our own Tanis Jorge, Co-Founder at Trulioo, will be speaking at WED about her experience as a serial entrepreneur. Tanis has a passion for starting businesses, which is reflected in the multiple data-driven companies that she has successfully co-founded and sold over the last decade. Her belief in entrepreneurship as a vital piece in the business landscape drives her to help others bring their ideas from concept to fruition. Today, Tanis' most recent company Trulioo, is tackling the big issue of "online identity" by creating products that will enable businesses and people to interact and conduct commerce safer on the web. As a pioneer in the online identity verification space, she is driven to make the internet a safer place.
