innovator award trulioo

Trulioo is both thrilled and honored to announce that we have been selected as a finalist for the 2016 PYMNTS Innovator Awards. With a record number of submissions for the most coveted awards in Payments, Trulioo was selected as a finalist in the ‘Best Newcomer’ category for helping top payment providers quickly scale into new markets while meeting international AML/KYC with its online identity verification service, GlobalGateway. Winners will be announced at the Innovator Awards Dinner held on March 17, 2016 at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts as part of the closing ceremonies for the Innovation Project® 2016.

“We are honored to be recognized among such an exceptional lineup of innovators in the payment space,” said Jon Jones, President at Trulioo. “With the ability to instantly verify 4 billion consumers from all over the world, our team is determined to close the opportunity gap and help underserved groups play on a level playing field. Our innovation enables businesses and individuals to trust one another online, creating cross-border KYC efficiencies that eliminate long approval processes and cumbersome integrations in each market.”

There are 15 Innovation Award categories in total, and a gold, silver, and bronze medal will be awarded to three of the finalists in each category. The winners for each award will be determined by a panel of distinguished judges from within the payments industry as well as members of the public. Other categories include Best B2B Innovation, Most Disruptive Company, Best Comeback Story, and Women Driving Innovation in Payments.

In selecting finalists for the Innovator Awards, describes the process as the most exhaustive vetting process in the industry. More than 600 entries were received this year – each subject to evaluation by a distinguished panel of judges who see and invest in innovation every day.

The Innovation Project® is not your typical industry trade show or conference. Rather than making delegates choose a track and miss out on certain speakers, the Innovation Project® has only one track to ensure that everyone has access to the same content and discussions. The most anticipated component of the event is the ThinkAThon®, where this year’s participants will have the opportunity to think like regulators, propose solutions to a panel of judges, and make recommendations that will set the course for the payments industry going forward.

Now that the finalists for this year’s Innovator Awards have been named, it’s up to you to determine who will be the winners.
