Trulioo Challenges Vancouver Art Students to ‘Think Big and Think Brick’
To help add some pizzazz to our new 5,000-sq-ft historic Gastown office, we’ve teamed up with Riipen, an online platform that connects students with companies via short-term, relevant, skill-specific projects that build students’ virtual portfolios, to challenge Vancouver art students to create an out-of-the-box design, which will be displayed on the 22′ x 9.5′ exposed brick wall located in the main entrance of our office. We hope to find an emerging artist who can encapsulate our mission, brand and culture through their work of art.
“We are very excited to partner up with Riipen to give fledgling student artists a chance to show off their skills and support a local startup who is doing great things.” says Tanis Jorge, co-founder of Trulioo.
Launched in 2013, Riipen enables students to build their virtual portfolio while companies gain complementary skills, increased innovation, employer branding, and reduced hiring costs by proactively building their talent pool. Founded by students for students, Riipen enables students to prove their skills to companies rather than just tell them what they can do on a piece of paper.
“The project with Trulioo is another example of how the Riipen platform helps companies engage emerging talent and give students unique, real world project opportunities,” said Dave Savory, Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer.
To submit your concept, register at Riipen and sign up for the Trulioo project. Entries must be submitted before 12pm on December 31, 2014.
“We look forward to seeing some unique concepts from up-and-coming talent,” said Jorge. “The artist who submits the best concept will receive $700 to execute their design.”
