Keir Breitenfeld PayExpo London Panel

PayExpo Europe, UK’s largest payments event, will be hosting its 4th annual conference at ExCel London from June 7th to 8th. With over 130 speakers and 70 exhibitors, PayExpo Europe showcases the latest technology and innovation for faster, easier, and more secure payments for banks, retailers, online gaming, government, and mobile network operators. This is one event you don’t want to miss!

With the recent shifts in payment technology, people now have more options in their methods of spending money. WeChat, the main messaging app in China, has already been used by many Chinese companies to carry out many of their business processes and is in the beta version of an overseas WeChat Pay feature. Peer-to-peer transactions have been in the spotlight; especially after Facebook revealed their plans to integrate mobile payments into their Messenger app. How far can we expect to see payments integrated into our social networks?

Join Keir Breitenfeld, Trulioo’s Strategic Partnerships and Channel Manager, at PayExpo’s panel discussion about social networks and payments on June 7th at 3:10 pm. Other panelists include Andrew Wilmot (moderator), CEO at Maroon Elephant, and Sergio Cozzolino, Strategy and Innovation at Telcom Italia.

“Initially, social networks were intended for sharing real-time updates about people’s lives with friends and family to help them stay in touch with one another,” said Keir Breitenfeld. “However, in recent years it has also evolved into a payments channel. When WeChat introduced digital red envelopes during Chinese New Year, billions of dollars were sent to users on WeChat - instantly revolutionizing payments forever attracting other social networks like Facebook to get a piece of the action.”

The conference will cover topics in market regulation and evolution, security, authentication and biometrics, the future of banking, and connected commerce. Gain valuable knowledge and hear experts from Visa, Samsung, Western Union, Tandem Bank and many others.
