OPEN TALK: Developing Your Developers: The Whole is Greater than the Sum of Its Parts
Wednesday, November 6, 3-3:50 p.m.
DevLead Stage

Top-tier software developers are like diamonds, hard to find and liable to be stolen. But do you already have diamonds in the rough?

This talk dispels the myth that A-level developer talent can only come through acquisition and simplifies the latest theories on leadership and creating teams into practical, implementable advice. Evidence will be provided from Google's Project Aristotle, Extreme Ownership principles and Malcolm Gladwell's theory of strong versus weak link activities.

Expo Stage Presentation

DeveloperWeek Austin will also feature numerous developer-focused presentations on tracks such as Javascript, Containers & Kubernetes, AI & Machine Learning, Devops & Security and API Microservices. Senior Software Engineer Menelaos Kotsollaris will present about building successful open source libraries.

Scale for Adoption: Develop Libraries with JavaScript and Github Actions That Get Downloads, Forks and Community Love
Thursday, November 7, 10-10:25 a.m.
Expo Stage

JavaScript's high growth has reshaped the open source community. NPM has made it easier than ever to create and reuse open source libraries through the JavaScript ecosystem. This talk will showcase the main points of building scalable libraries aimed to be adopted by other developers. Newly introduced GitHub actions will be utilized as a means of continuous integration, alongside the rest of libraries that come through the GitHub’s open source marketplace. This talk will be based on the implementation of Trulioo’s latest capability, EmbedID.

Trulioo will also be on the floor at Booth 200. We welcome all attendees to drop by and talk about how you can add identity verification to your application and/or services simply by adding a few lines of code. Better yet, arrange a meeting so that you’re sure to get the full story.
